December 12

Went to see The Promise of Christmas in Glen Rose -
an outdoor Christmas play.
It was really good (though not long enough), but we froze!

December 11

I got to babysit this little cutie -
my friend Alissa's baby, Morgan.
Alissa requested that I take pictures of her
in various Christmas outfits while they were gone.
That really wasn't a request I could turn down! ;)

December 10

Went to Cambridge's first "Girls' Night Out" -
we decorated Christmas cookies and watched Elf on the big screen.
It was a lot of fun hanging out with a bunch of crazy teenage girls.

December 9

Another brilliant Texas sunset

December 8

Brodie "helped" me put my lights up on the balcony -
and chomped right through one of the light bulbs!

December 7

All groomed and handsome for the holidays!

December 6

An amazing sunrise made this Monday morning much better

December 5

Met Amy and Amanda for dinner at the Noodle House.
Amy and I shared "beef stir fries" - an unusual dish with beef,
rice, and french fries covered in an amazing brown sauce.
It sounds really odd, but it's fabulous!
This pic doesn't make it look very appealing,
so you'll have to take my word for it.

December 4

Spending the whole day at the groomers can wear a dog out -
and mom's "teddy bear coat" is nice and comfy for a nap!

December 3

Finished all of Genny's requested GPA ornaments -
I think they turned out quite well.
(This is only a few of the many ornaments I've painted this year.
It's been a lot of fun, and great way to make a little extra money.)

December 2

Beautiful autumn colors on my evening walk with Brodie

December 1

The cutest picture EVER of my furry boy!

November 30

My first fire of the season - warmy and cozy!

November 29

An absolutely gorgeous day -
definitely didn't feel like the end of November!

November 28

This little boy's mama was very happy to get home and see him.
He was more interested in his rawhide.

November 27

Helped Dad put up the outside lights -
it was a beautiful, crisp, cool day
and we had a lot of fun "decking the halls."

November 26

Watched the Iron Bowl with Mamaw -
it was a very disappointing loss, but I'm proud of my Tide anyway.
ROLL TIDE!

November 25

Happy Thanksgiving!
Spent the day celebrating with almost
the entire Isbell clan at Mamaw and Papaw's house.
It was a great day!

November 24

Putting my "master packer" skills to work,
packing up the car for four adults and two dogs to drive to Alabama.
Harley checked it out and gave his approval.

November 23

Roscoe posing after his bath - such a sweet fluffy boy.

November 22

A quick stop-off at Starr's Mill with Ben for a brief photo opp...

November 21

FINALLY got to see HP7.1 - Ben and I went after church to see it.
But there were no movie posters to take a photo with,
so I ended up with this boring pic of the theater.

November 20

Mom and I decorated the house for Christmas.
We always spend HOURS on the tree, but it turned out amazing!

November 19

Stayed home from the conference sick,
but was glad to have Harley boy keeping me company.
Love those beautiful baby blue eyes!

November 18

Spent the entire day at the ETS conference.
By the time I made it home, everyone was in their pj's and relaxing.

November 17

Flew home to Georgia for the ETS conference and Thanksgiving -
the fall colors were beautiful!

November 16

My fun Alabama tree, topped with a Bear Bryant fedora

November 15

My boy with the toy I gave him while decorating for Christmas -
a jingle bell. He loves it -
carries it around jingling, batting it across the floor,
chasing it when I toss it. So cute!

November 14

Finished "decking my halls" -
my apartment looks so homey and Christmasy!

November 13

Rachel came up to help me decorate for Christmas -
I know it's early, but it needed to be done before I head out
for a conference and Thanksgiving this week

November 12

Professor Francis Beckwith of Baylor University,
guest speaker for Cambridge's Faith & Culture Series,
hanging out with our senior guys

November 11

It's finally beginning to look like autumn in Texas!
My favorite season!!!

November 10

My Brodie in his new houndstooth sweater -
isn't he adorable?!

November 9

Treated to a pretty cool sunset while out running errands

November 8

So I gave Brodie a new toy to usher in the Christmas season -
it lasted only 5 minutes before he had a leg torn nearly off.
Poor reindeer had to have a double amputation,
and he didn't last long after that.

November 7

Can you see the squirrel in the tree?
Brodie was jumping several feet in the air
trying to climb the tree and catch the squirrel!

November 6

Brodie hanging his head at Bama's loss to LSU :(

November 5

Brodie made himself comfy on my quilt made by my
great grandmother - I didn't let him stay there long,
but I made sure to grab a couple of pics before making him move.

November 4

Tis the season... to be crafty!

November 3

Ha! Brodie has a halo!

November 2

There's really no explanation - my boy's certainly not shy!

November 1

Brodie and I are cheering on the Rangers -
they have to win tonight, or the World Series is over!

October 31

I couldn't leave Brodie out of the costume fun -
he was a pirate too! (He really didn't like the hat though.)

October 30

Celebrating Halloween at the Cypress costume party -
shown here: Scooby Doo, Marge Simpson, Barrrrb, and Waldo

October 29

Yummy Halloween goodies for our costume party tomorrow night

October 28

The pretty fall flowers I was given after Cambridge's Open House

October 27

Enjoying a lovely walk around the canals in Las Colinas
(the neighborhood I live in)

October 26

In case there was any doubt that Brodie was meant to be my dog,
here's the proof - he loves pickles!

October 25

Seen driving down the road.
I say again, it's a little too early!
I love Christmas as much as (probably more than) most people,
but good grief, it's not even Halloween yet!

October 24

Check out that pink sky! I can't get enough of Texas sunsets :)
