You would think I would have more back-to-school or teaching photos, since I teach two classes at Cambridge. But I rarely take photos in class - I'm just too busy! But those are two of the themes for the month of September, so here's a photo of this year's prefect and honor councils at Cambridge. These are our school's student leaders, and they're doing a great job so far!
One very cool teaching opportunity came about this month, as I took my 7th and 8th graders to SWBTS (where I'm a student) to tour the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. They also got to participate in a mock Qumran-style dig. Most of them really enjoyed that part, though they seemed to find the museum portion of the field trip as well. What a unique opportunity!
One final theme for the month is "signs of fall." Since it's still been in the 90s much of this month, we don't have many typical signs of fall - no falling leaves or autumn colors. But I did take a photo of what may be my favorite sign of fall - college football is back! It's especially exciting this year, because Bama is the reigning National Champion, and is ranked #1 again this season. I've been watching lots of football and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide!
